After losing against NTNUI, was this match very important for Asker. We lose toss and gets bowling first. The plan was to bat first if we had won the toss. Anyway, we start very well, when Tara and Qasim start taking their wickets. After 7 overs Fossum have 54 runs for 2. Not so bad for Asker , but, so it all starts. Bad bowling, dont taking the catches and Fossum are enjoying this. Do not understand what happens to all Asker players, cant we handle some pressure?
Anyway stands Fossum with 151 runs for 2 at halftime (15 overs). After the break, things get worse. Fossum made 322 runs in 30 overs. The umpire did not have so much time for this match. He cut out 5 overs and gave us just 25 overs. If you ask him why he will say, we were 48 min delayed. 48 min delay? Stupidest I have heard but okay, is allowed to be silly at times ...
Hashir and Israar starts our batting and we suddenly have 50 runs after four overs. Things start to look good until Israar gets out. Qasim goes in and comes back again fairly quickly. Mirza enters in and makes one pair hiting but are not there long enough. Ali M is next with Ravi but before Ali M being run out , had Ravi been out already. Tara and Khayyam, the next batsmens in and Tara seems to be a bit back into shape with a pair of nice shots. Khayyam gets out, Tara gets out and Asker do not have any chance and lose the match with all 193 runs, deserved loss for Asker and deserved victory for Fossum, who had fantastic batting.
One thing is clear, if this Asker team like to go up to 2.divison for next year, then they need some pair of things in place and need it QUICK ! We'll see if this is in place for now Asker need to win remaining games to have any hope of 2 division. One loss, then everything is over. In the next game is also Mehdi and Ali Ahmed back, maybe that will be enough? We have to wait and see but no doubt that Asker was totally crushed by Fossum.
Asker need to do a great comeback now , and lets see what they will do against Sinsen.
